Frequently Asked Questions

How many times do I have to attend?
Adult and Juvenile theft classes are one time sessions. PACT (Parents Are Continuously There) classes are four sessions..

How long is the class?
Four hours for the adult class, 3 hours for the juvenile class, and 2 hours for a private appointment.

What happens after I attend?
Do you notify anyone?
Can I get something that shows I attended?

After you attend the class, our office will notify the individual and/or court that referred you. If you would like a certificate, just ask your counselor at the end of the class.

Can I leave a little early if I have to get to work or relieve my babysitter?
No, if you leave the class early for any reason you will be given only partial attendance credit. You will then have to reschedule to attend the entire class again.

What if I am late to the class?
We recommend that you sign in 15 minutes prior to your class time. If you arrive late and the class has already started, you will be turned away, no exceptions. In this case, your failure to attend is counted as a “No Show,” and you will have an additional $30 added to your class fee.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule my class?
You must notify our office as soon as possible in order to cancel or reschedule. Give us notice at least 24 hours in advance; if you must cancel within the 24 hour period prior to your class, you will be charged a $10 late cancellation fee.

Is the fee part of my court fees?
No. You will pay separately for your Theft Talk class.

Can I pay by check?
No, Theft Talk does not accept checks. You may pay by cash or money order at your check-in time. If you wish to pay by credit or debit card, please call our office prior to your class date to pay by phone.

What if I want to bring someone with me; can I do that? |
Yes, in adult and juvenile sessions you may bring an adult to observe the class. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend with their child. There is no fee for their attendance. Please note that you may NOT bring children to an adult class.
